My models

First work on 3ds max. Dragon inspirated on the movie one, only few edits. No dragons feathers and there will be spines on the back

i have rhino 3d and 3ds max. I'm currently trying to learn how to use them;)

Sketchup pro works aswell (its how i do my models ) but i do need blender or other software to map them for textures, which are done in GIMP.

Sketchup for textures, I don't think that it's good at 3d as 3ds max or blender

No just for the model.
Blender and gimp are used to texture it.
But youre right, Using Sketchup does have its drawbacks. but it works pretty well if you ask me:

Nice, so far. Be sure to include the lore accurate bits aswell. Like the spikes and stuff

Thanks brunnwag. I want to do the spikes in 3d, but I've to find an easy way. Doing them one by one it's nearly impossible, and this is my first model in 3ds max. I'll ask AnonDraco how I can do. Making them in the textures would be ugly, but could be the only way.

Thanks tsx1096 Well, it's not difficult, you only have to sit down and learn the noun of the 3d modelling. I learned this 1 year ago. Before you think" I will never be able to do this" then you have learned "dammit it wasn't so difficult". you just have to practice and get some free time.
Now a news, I could do this, look at the bottom of the head
