Some suggestions and opinions
I prefer Zar'roc V1's blade - but loose the black line Wink have that bit like V2
If its possible Bronzeband should have the same texture blade as zar'roc V1 but a bronze colour (If its to be a riders sword)
Elven Scimitar - Less scratches, Elves would keep their blades in tip-top condition Smile
My favourite so-far is Draco's Bane

Will have more after looking at the blades in more detail...
Draco's bane should be an Easter egg quest having to fight Anon-Draco in a crypt...

holy Jesus Zar'rok V2 is awesome! My vote goes there.

If my advice is any worth I'd propose adding the silver wire around the hilt as described in the books Smile

The captain's sword is an astonishing piece of work too Very Happy Great textures on that one, as well as the axe.

Zar'rok v1 looks a bit too small when the player is holding it and it's about a hand-and-a-half.

V2 gives that special metal feel to it !

To sum it up : GREAT WORK Very Happy

imo zar'roc V2 looks strange I'd expect it to be really smooth and clean being a riders sword (i'm only talking about the blade)

It's metal..its supposed to be stained but then again elves made it so it might as well Razz

Practically I like it because its textures are much nicer.

The textures other than the blade are nicer imo so if you could just swap blades, but keep the ridge bit from V2 as I don't think the black line is too good on V1.

If we are to keep the V2 pommel and hilt, I say make the blade iridescent red..it would be better than a shiny red paint. It's metalic after all.

For zar'roc V2.2? I'd drop the White and deepen the red. The runes are epic, perfect font as well. Maybe pics of it in sunlight would change my mind...
Sorry for all this but I'm very picky if others like it I don't mind it.
Always room for improvement.

By the way here is an other suggestion for Zar'roc:
I don't know the english word but I mean the golden part under the blade Very Happy : It could have a bettter design and more details

Crossguard Smile

I'll leave the current Zar'roc as it is i think Smile Since Draco intends to redo the Zar'roc.
What i might do is replace the gold with a smooth texture like the blade itself. That way it looks as if the entire sword is made out of the same iridescent metal.
And yes i know the crossguard is supposed to be gold, but gold is kinda hard to get right and doesnt look to great imho.

For modelling:

- Blender (free)
- 3ds max
- Maya
- Rhinoceros
- Sketchup (free, can't be used standalone, use in conjunction with blender or 3ds max)
- Nifskope (must have! Skyrim's models are nif's. so you'll need this if you want to replace meshes and add textures to meshes.)

Texturing:

- GIMP
- Photoshop
- Paint.net

As for the tutorials:
Yeah, they're tricky Sad especially the ones for the modelling software.
I guess it just takes time to learn it. although using sketchup and exporting it to blender is an option. That way tou could use blender to finalize it and export it to .OBJ, which you could import into NIFSkope.

I have a suggestion not sure whether you'd go for it, but does CP ever include what happened to "Volund", the hammer of the late Dwarf King Hrothgar or do you think it would have been buried with him...

But it would be a beautiful artifact weapon model and as it's not described in too much detail in the books, you guys would have a lot more leeway to make it your own.

Hmmmm, speaking of which good luck to whichever Map Editor ends up working on Tronjheim, I'm not sure Skyrim has anything like that in-game or even tunnel systems that are independent of a dungeon.
