Riders custom sword

Not to sound ignorant but I think talking all about other swords is kind of off topic in a sense. Aren't we supposed to have our own rider sword that was made just for that particular rider? I think were right in talking about quests for these "Legendary swords", but shouldn't we be able to have our own sword? in fact that could be a quest of its own, getting your own sword smithed in ellesmera. But I digress, I just wanted to make a point in saying, instead of having quests and making legendary swords to use, shouldn't we be building up to smithing our own sword?

Yes but imo not untill late on, you sword will beat all these 'legendary swords' so the idea is untill then you go around finding a legendary sword to us untill then. And npc weapons are included in the 'legendary' catogory so they will only be usable by console commands methinks.

ok, but how about having your own skill tree that levels up how much its worth with your perks

Yes great idea! Maybe you level up your sword as you use it and unlock perks special qualities like an enchantment?

Sounds like a rather unique idea Would be great incentive to keep using your riders sword.
Does sound a bit like Oblivions dreaded leveled items though... You'd probably need spend some sort of points to increase the weapon to give the player to match the weapon to their style.

yes i also say we have different models for customization, not just colour and type of sword but different styled blades if anyone has spare time.

and when you say full customization you could build it like you choose your character, except it'd say name, blade design/color, hilt design/color, starting enchantment etc. The sword could also have energy in it that levels up with your sword adding to your health (or whatever were pinning magic to)

anyways back to the sword, would we make the sword in ellesmera as one of the first main quests? and I was thinking if that was the case, every time you find a new legendary weapon with its unique enchantment. You can return to the forge in ellesmera and somehow forge the other sword with yours adding the enchantment and making it stronger. This way we could still implement the other legendary swords uses

No, I still think the riders sword should come later on so we could use the legendary swords, I'd like to use them because then there's a variety of unique looking weapons. And a great excuse for notngetting the sword is maybe a shortage of bright steel? And due to some inconvenience, the dark elves ? There isn't time to search for it.

hmm it could be that you ask rhunon about making you a sword and she says you have to find the pieces of bright steel yourself which you find after various main quests

Riders sword should be obtained later in game. After you have collected the brightsteel. I think most of us agree that.

Yes but I think you have to reach a late point in the main quest first. Maybe rhunon says pretty much you have to prove your with as a rider.
And one thing we haven't mentioned is... Dragons. Well we have but not in detail, like personalities and how we speak to them, like dialog and stuff.

so what do you think the sword's capabilities should be damage wise?

Maybe it increases by usage (very slowly) and i cant go on coz im on my ipod, will do if i get chance.

It would be cool if your sword would scale up in power as you level up and use it. Maybe as the blood of your foes washes over it, it absorbs some of there power?
